Turkmenistan to build new high, medium-pressure gas pipeline

A high-and medium-pressure gas pipeline will be built in the Mary region of Turkmenistan, Trend reports, citing Nebit-Gas electronic newspaper.

A new batch of pipes with a diameter of 325 millimeters has arrived for the construction of the gas pipeline.

Some 1,200 meters of pipes with a diameter of 325 millimeters have already been welded and laid for the gas pipeline. The total length of the gas pipeline will be 3,000 meters.

In general, gas companies completed construction and installation work on pipes with a diameter of 160 millimeters and a total length of 9,100 meters in 1H2020.

Such work on further gas supply to the Mary region are part of a set of measures to improve the social and living conditions of the population and increase the economic growth of the region.

Turkmenistan overfulfilled the plan for production and provision of services in the construction sector by 21.9 percent from January through July 2020.

The Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan overfulfilled the plan in construction sector by 7.9 percent during the reporting period.

The Ministry of Industry and Construction of the country exceeded the plan for the provision of services by 6.3 percent, and the Ministry of Energy by 14.4 percent.

The municipal administration of the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, exceeded the plan for work performed and services rendered by 14 percent from January through July.
