Azerbaijan increases export of petrochemicals

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct. 20

Azerbaijan exported more than 21.8 million tons of oil from January through September 2020, which is 6.1 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the report of the State Customs Committee (SCC).

The SCC said that the value of the exported in the reporting period oil made up $7.15 billion, having decreased by 36.5 percent year on year.

At the same time, the volume of export of petrochemical products by the country amounted to 809,660 tons, which is 14.3 percent more compared to the same period of 2019.

In monetary terms the total volume of exports from Azerbaijan for the reporting period amounted to $10.5 billion, showing an annual contraction of 28.8 percent, the report said.
