Kazakhstan boosts petroleum oil exports to Austria despite COVID-19

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jan. 25

Kazakhstan has exported 271,100 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 74.07 million euros to Austria in October 2020, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan exported 2.4 million tons of petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 779.8 million euros to Austria over the period from Jan. through Oct. 2020.

Thus, the October volume of crude oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to Austria is 18.3 percent more than in volume compared to September 2020 (229,137 tons) and is 22.7 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (351,040 tons).

October’s export value is also 11.02 percent more than in September 2020 (66.7 million euros) and is 55.07 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (164.8 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Austria amounted to $130.4 million over the first ten months of 2020, compared to $141.8 million during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to Austria amounted to $2.9 million over the period from January through Oct. 2020, compared to $3.2 million during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Austria amounted to nearly $127.4 million over the reporting period, compared to $138.6 million during the same period of 2019.
