Azerbaijan names January 2021 revenue from crude oil export to China

Azerbaijan exported 277,516 tons of crude oil worth over $102.5 million to China in January 2021, Trend reports on Feb.23 referring to the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee.

According to the bulletin, in the reporting month the total volume of Azerbaijan’s oil export was more than 4 million tons, up by 0.7 percent over the year, while the total export value – over $1.3 billion (30 percent decrease compared to January last year). The share of China in the crude oil exports of Azerbaijan amounted to 6.9 percent.

Meanwhile, trade turnover between the two countries made up over $216.2 million, the expenses of Azerbaijan for export to China - $106.8 million, and for importing Chinese products – over $109.3 million, said the bulletin.

In 2020, trade turnover between them exceeded $1.8 billion, of which $432.7 million fell on export from Azerbaijan to China, and slightly over $1.4 billion – on import of Chinese products by Azerbaijan.
