Azerbaijan has exported over 6.16 billion cubic meters of natural gas from January through March 2021, which is by 3.4 times more than in 1Q2020, Trend reports referring to the statistical report of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
In accordance with the data, during the reporting period, the total value of exported natural gas reached $867 million.
The export of natural gas in the first quarter of 2021 amounted to 20.95 percent of the country's total export for this period.
Azerbaijan exported more than 12.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2020, which is 0.8 percent less than in 2019.
During the reporting period, the volume of exported natural gas amounted to about $2.2 billion in total terms - an increase of 7.2 percent compared to 2019.
