Volume of SOCAR’s LPG imports to Ukraine revealed

The import of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by SOCAR Energy Ukraine to Ukraine amounted to 1,500 tons in 13 days in June, Trend reports with reference to Ukrainian media.

LPG imports from Russia to Ukraine increased by 2.5 times and stood at 27,000 tons. In particular, 3,400 tons of LPG produced by Rosneft were supplied to the following companies: Katma Group (1,000 tons), SOCAR Energy Ukraine (1,500 tons), Nadezhda (500 tons) and Martin Trade (300 tons). Lukoil supplied 10,000 tons of liquefied gas during the reporting period. The volumes of supplies from Surgutneftegaz increased by 7 times and amounted to 6,500 tons. The major part was imported by BRSM-Nafta (2,800 tons), WOG (1,000 tons).

Imports from Kazakhstan decreased by 11 percent, and amounted to 19,000 tons, while supplies from Belarus increased by 9 percent and stood at 10,500 tons.

Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR’s representative office opened in Ukraine in 2008.

The company acquired about 20 Tala-Nafta filling stations in Odessa and Nikolaev regions. as well as Svitanok large oil depot in Odessa region in 2009.

The company took control of the fuelling networks ONIO (four filling stations in Kyiv and the region) and GFC (in Lviv region) in 2010-2011. SOCAR received permission from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine to purchase 26 filling stations and one tank farm of the Kalina group in August 2012.
