Turkmenistan is conducting exploration work for the rational use of old deposits, Trend reports with reference to Turukmenportal information portal.
In particular, work is underway in the Balkan region of the country on Goturdepe and Barsagelmes old fields.
According to forecasts, there are rich deposits of oil and hydrocarbon raw materials in Goturdepe field, which is proved by the abundant inflow of industrial oil obtained from the new well in the North Goturdepe field.
Turkmenistan exceeded the plan for the field's oil and gas condensate production, as well plan for oil refining from January through May 2021.
During the reporting period, the plan for the production of gasoline was exceeded by 12.8 percent, diesel fuel-by 0.3 percent, polypropylene - by 18.8 percent, liquefied gas – by 15.5 percent, natural and associated gas production - by 16 percent.
Meanwhile, the plan for gas exports was exceeded by 23.7 percent in the specified period, and the development of investments in this sector – by 17.7 percent from January through May 2021.
