Some 20.3 billion cubic meters of gas were produced in Azerbaijan from January through June 2021, of which 6.4 billion accounted for the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of fields, and 10 billion cubic meters - Shah Deniz field, Trend reports with reference to the report of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy.
At the same time, the production growth amounted to 5.1 percent from January through June 2021 compared to the same period of last year.
In accordance with the report, gas production by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) for the reporting period amounted to 3.9 billion cubic meters.
The production figures for ACG and Shah Deniz fields, which play an important role in the development of the oil and gas industry in Azerbaijan, were also specified.
Some 328 billion cubic meters of gas were produced at ACG and Shah Deniz since the beginning of operation and until July 1, 2021.
Thus, 183 billion cubic meters were produced at ACG while 145 billion cubic meters at Shah Deniz as of July 1.
