BP discloses oil production volume at ACG in 1H2021

Total Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) production for the first half of 2021 was on average about 468,000 barrels per day (b/d) - about 85 million barrels or 11 million tons in total - compared to over 520,000 barrels per day in the same period of 2020, from the Chirag (30,000 b/d), Central Azeri (111,000 b/d), West Azeri (118,000 b/d), East Azeri (78,000 b/d), Deepwater Gunashli (88,000 b/d) and West Chirag (43,000 b/d) platforms in Azerbaijan, Trend reports on Aug. 6 referring to BP.

At the end of the quarter, 131 oil wells were producing, while 44 were used for water and eight for gas injection.

BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) Limited is the operator on behalf of the Contractor Parties to the ACG Production Sharing Agreement.

ACG participating interests are: BP (30.37 percent), SOCAR (25.0 percent), MOL (9.57 percent), INPEX (9.31 percent), Equinor (7.27 percent), ExxonMobil (6.79 percent), TPAO (5.73 percent), ITOCHU (3.65 percent), ONGC Videsh Limited (OVL) (2.31 percent).
