Azerbaijan is a balance in energy supply against other suppliers like Russia so for that reason it is very important that we ensure the stability and supply of Azerbaijani gas and oil, Alan Howard, Deputy Director, Energy Academic Group Naval Postgraduate School told Trend.
Howard was among the participants of the Advanced Regional Energy Security Symposium 2021 – Caucasus, which is being held Sept. 6-10, by the Center of Excellence in EU Studies at ADA University (Azerbaijan), in partnership with the NATO Energy Security Center of Excellence, the Naval Postgraduate School, BP Azerbaijan, and State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
“The impact of Azerbaijan in energy security on the region is important because this is where you are producing energy and gas. You are providing important energy and gas into Georgia, Turkey and even into Europe,” he added.
Howard also noted that Azerbaijani energy security technologies easily meet the world standards because of a big players here like BP and SOCAR who have the most modern technology.
