BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 26

By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:

Kazakhstan’s Energy Minister Magzum Mirzagaliyev has instructed to start developing a pre-feasibility study for increasing the refining capacity of the Shymkent refinery, Trend reports citing the ministry.

Mirzagaliyev made the statement during a meeting held in Shymkent on the implementation of the refinery's performance indicators.

In addition, following the meeting, the minister also instructed to optimize the timing of all stages of expansion of the processing capacities of the plant, as well as make proposals on the issue of postponing the start of scheduled repairs from October to November 2022.

Against the background of a decrease in oil production at the Kumkol and Aktobe group of fields, Mirzagaliyev instructed to take special control over the implementation of measures to ensure acceptable quality of the supplied oil.
