Iran exited Turkey’s Top 3 gas exporters in October 2021, as the country was replaced by the US, Trend reports with reference to Turkey’s Energy Markets Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
The Top 3 gas exporters of Turkey during the reporting period included Russia with almost 1.866 billion cubic meters, the US with 838.19 million cubic meters and Azerbaijan with 761.95 million cubic meters. Iran’s natural gas exports to Turkey stood at 395.12 million cubic meters.

Turkey’s overall gas imports rose by 15.24 percent in October 2021 year-on-year and stood at 4.657 billion cubic meters, with almost 3.023 billion cubic meters accounting for pipeline imports and 1.634 billion cubic meters imported as liquefied natural gas.
Pipeline imports decreased by 6,87 percent, while LNG imports saw a 105.49 percent growth.
The country’s natural gas consumption rose by 23.50 percent and reached 4.427 billion cubic meters.
