Iran’s Arvandan Oil & Gas Company keen to increase crude oil extraction

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 16

The Iranian Arvandan Oil and Gas Company is working on a program to increase its crude oil extraction capacity to 1 million barrels daily, Executive Director of the company Abdollah Ozari Ahvazi said, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.

The director emphasized that currently, the company's daily crude oil extraction capacity is 400,000 barrels.

Ozari Ahvazi also added that the Arvandan Oil and Gas Company gets the mentioned crude oil extraction capacity from 1st and 2nd phases of the Darkhovin field, as well as 1st phase of the South Azadegan and North Azadegan and Yadavaran fields.

“As part of the program to increase crude oil extraction, the company plans to develop the second phase of the North Azadegan and Yadavaran oil fields, improve the South Azadegan, North Yaran and South Yaran fields, as well as develop the 3rd phase of the Darkhovin field and Sepehr, Jufair, Sosangard and Sohrab fields,” he said.

The Arvandan Oil and Gas Company operates under the auspices of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC). The company can also extract 7.64 million cubic meters (270 million cubic feet) of gas per day.
