BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 30. Kazakhstan's fuel oil output totaled 257,266 tons in May 2022, up by 50.6 percent compared to May 2021, and down by 9.6 percent against April 2022, Trend reports referring to the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From January through May 2022, fuel oil production of the country amounted to 1.3 million tons, which was 11.8 percent more than the same period of 2021.
In May 2022, Kazakh exports of fuel oil reached 221,732 tons, increasing by 4.7 percent compared to May 2021 and 49.4 percent compared to April 2022. In the first five months of 2022, Kazakhstan exported 824,543 tons of fuel oil, dropping by 2.3 percent against the same period of 2021.
A total of 35,474 tons of fuel oil were sold on the country's domestic market in May 2022, down by two times against May 2021 and by 73.9 percent compared to April 2022.
The sale of fuel oil in Kazakhstan's domestic market from January through May 2022 made up 547,923 tons, rising by 42.8 percent against the same period of 2021.
