Iran increases gasoline production

TEHRAN, Iran, September 26. Iran is increasing gasoline production by 2 billion liters per year in the next three
years, said the CEO of Pars Behin Qeshm Oil Refinery Company Hamed Doshmanfana Yazdi, Trend
reports citing IRNA.

The country is to establish a refinery in Qeshm Island with a production capacity of 60,000 barrels of gas condensate that would increase gasoline production, he said.

Yazdi went on to say that investment in Qeshm Pasargad Gas Condensate Refinery will create jobs and assure maximum production from South Pars Gas fields.

He underlined that the refinery requires a $500 million investment to complete and establish a new unit for gasoline production.

Creating new oil infrastructures and completing chain production value are the priorities of the Ministry of Petroleum which would include establishing upstream projects near feed resources.

According to the official, there are ongoing operations for the development of the oil industry on the Makran and Chabahar coasts to complete the value of the production chain.
