TEHRAN, Iran, November 1. Iran has the potential to export gas to European market and South Pars gas field could use European technology, former deputy of the National Iranian Gas Company Abdolhossein Samari Meybodi said, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"If the government considers gas export as a priority then it would use new strategy, Iran has the capacity for export, especially in a time when Europe is in energy crisis," he said.
He underlined the negotiations for the revival of the 2015 nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in Qatar were promising in terms of possible technological support for South Pars yet it was not on the agenda.
South Pars is part of the world's biggest gas field that Iran shares with Qatar’s North Dome.
