BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 10. Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Bolat Akchulakov answered the questions of the media regarding the gasification of the east and the north of the country on the sidelines of the plenary session of the Senate, Trend reports citing Kazakh media.
"The gasification of the east and the north of Kazakhstan doesn't imply any exceptions. Clearly, this will not be done at the same time all at once. Secondly, some regions require a separate approach. For example, according to Ridder: if there is a need to change the boiler, it will probably have to be changed. If there is an opportunity to use some new types of fuel, for example, gas, so as not to build a new coal-fired boiler in vain, this will probably be taken into account unequivocally,” he said
Reporters also asked Akchulakov to comment on opportunities to build a new thermal power plant in Ridder city in East Kazakhstan Region in north-eastern Kazakhstan.
"It must be considered that it's not easy to cover heat and electricity, it's also tariffs. There is such a need in many regions where it's necessary to replace outdated stations, where networks are worn out,” he informed.
