Iran's NISOC expands gas production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 27. The National Iranian Oil South Oil Company (NISOC) has increased gas production by 10 million cubic meters per day, as of December 26, 2022, CEO of the NISOC Alireza Daneshi said, Trend reports citing the National Iranian Oil Company’s website.

According to Daneshi, the employees of the repair department of the NISOC and the Aghajari Oil and Gas Production Company (AOGPC) carried out overhauls at the "NGL-1000" refinery within 45 days. As part of the repairs, some equipment has been changed and the production capacity of the refinery has increased.

The CEO added that no overhauls were carried out at the mentioned refinery, and pipelines were not changed during the past few years. As a result of the work carried out, gas production and transportation became stable at the refinery.

The National Iranian South Oil Company, a subordinate of the National Iranian Oil Company, operates 45 large and small hydrocarbon deposits in an area of 400,000 square kilometers from Iran's Bushehr Province to the north of Khuzestan Province.

The company extracts about 80 percent of Iran's crude oil and 16 percent of its gas.
