Kazakhstan's Ulytau region implements major gasification projects

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 20. Within the framework of the budget program, it is planned to allocate 3 billion Kazakh tenge ($6.75 million) from the republican budget in 2023 for the implementation of 2 projects (1 ongoing project and 1 new project) for Kapzakhstan's Ulytau region, Trend reports.

According to official data, the level of gasification in the region as of January 1, 2023 is 2.7 percent, or 5,950 (out of 221,395) people are provided with natural gas.

Furthermore, in general, the volume of domestic consumption of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in 2022 in the country amounted to 1.8 million tons, which compared to 2021 consumption increased by 400,000 tons.

In particular, for the Ulytau region, the price of liquefied petroleum gas is 76-81 Kazakh tenge ($0.17 - $0.18) per liter.

There are 1 gas filling station (wholesale) and 18 automobile gas filling stations in the region.

The consumption of liquefied petroleum gas in the region in 2022 amounted to 1,700 tons, and for the period from January through June 2023, it was 800 tons.
