BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 28. The STAR oil refinery, owned by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye, has increased its naphtha production, Trend reports.
In September of this year, the plant manufactured 144,088 tons of naphtha, compared to 133,271 tons during the same period in 2022.
Data from the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) reveals that the refinery ramped up its naphtha production by 8.2 percent.
SOCAR Türkiye is planning to process over 12 million tons of oil at its STAR refinery in 2023, utilizing crude oil from the countries of the Black Sea region, Africa, and several other nations for the production of petrochemical products.
STAR commenced operations in October 2018, boasting an annual refining capacity of around 10 million tons and the ability to process 214,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
