BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 14. Azerbaijan imported 69,430 tons of RON-95 fuel from January through October 2023, Trend reports via the country's State Statistics Committee.
The data from the committee specified that this figure has decreased by 24.7 percent year-on-year.
In general, RON-95 worth $66.26 million was imported, which is 30.1 percent less on an annual basis.
The bulk of imports came from Russia: 38,150 tons (down 42 percent year-on-year) worth $35.59 million (down 47.9 percent).
Besides, 5,550 tons of imported fuel worth $5.7 million accounted for Romania, 20,250 tons ($19.1 million) - Belarus, 2,860 tons ($3.1 million) - Greece, 2,210 tons ($2.4 million) - Georgia, and 384,600 tons ($282,680) - the UAE.
In 2022, Azerbaijan imported 99,490 tons of RON-95 fuel; imports decreased by 32.5 percent year-on-year. In total, RON-95 gasoline was imported for the amount of $102.5 million, which means 7.7 percent less year-on-year.
