Turkmengaz reveals slated volume of natural gas production in Turkmenistan

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 30. The Lebapgazchykarysh department of the Turkmengaz State Concern in Turkmenistan plans to produce about 10.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2023, Trend reports.

Official records show that the department generates approximately 30.5 million cubic meters of natural gas per day on average by increasing well productivity and maintaining a high degree of efficiency.

Furthermore, the department met its yearly plan in the first 11 months of this year, producing 9.96 billion cubic meters of natural gas.

In 2022, the division produced 9.82 billion cubic meters of natural gas, exceeding the output target by 26 percent.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan is actively engaged in the diversification of its energy sector, placing special emphasis on advancing the gas industry.

This effort is noteworthy in light of the country's huge natural gas reserves, and it includes ambitious plans covering the extraction, transportation, and export of this critical energy resource.
