BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 16. Representatives of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and its Trading House - SOCAR Trading will participate in the annual oil and gas conference for Middle East countries (Middle East Petroleum & Gas Conference, or MPGC), which will take place on May 21-22 in Dubai, Trend reports via an informed source.
Azerbaijan maintains active ties with energy companies in the UAE in both traditional energy (fossil fuels) and alternative energy, while SOCAR Trading is actively involved in trading oil from companies in the Middle East.
The conference is organized by S&P Global Commodity Insights.
It will bring together over 400 participants from 50 countries, including giants such as bp, ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company), Cheniere, ConocoPhillips, Chevron, Saudi Aramco, TotalEnergies, Shell, global traders Glencore and Gunvor, as well as energy ministers from several countries.
The conference themes include markets and trading of energy resources in new conditions, the future of oil refining, and the climate agenda.
