BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 22. Azerbaijan exported over 170,138 tons of crude oil and petroleum products to Portugal, accounting for 3.7 percent of Azerbaijan's total raw material exports, from January through February 2024, Trend reports.
Calculations based on data from Azerbaijan's State Customs
Committee suggest that this indicator grew by 83.04 percent, or
77,185 tons, year on year.
During the specified period, Azerbaijani oil and petroleum products
were exported to Portugal for $104.1 million, which is 65.56
percent, or $41.2 million less than the same period in 2023.
To note, Azerbaijan exported almost 4.6 million tons of oil and
petroleum products abroad from January through February 2024, 11.2
percent less than the same time last year (nearly 5.2 million
tons). In terms of value, the Azerbaijani oil exports exceeded $2.8
billion, a 13.06 percent decrease, or $424.6 million, over the same
time in 2023.
