TWO REPRESENTATIVES OF AZERBAIJAN TO JOIN INTERNATIONAL CONSULTING TRANSPARENCY GROUP

Two representatives from Azerbaijan will join the International Consulting Transparency Group (ICTG). The total number of 16 persons will compose the group, head of the Commission on the transparency initiative in the extracting industry (EITI) Samir Sharifov told Trend.

The group will be headed by the Transparency International chairman Peter Agen. Its first meeting was scheduled for late August in London. Such institutions as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund will join the Group. It is supported by the British government.

One of the group members from Azerbaijan, who is to present the country’s government, will be the head of the State Oil Fund of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOFAR) and the Commission on EITI Samir Sharifov, Trend was told at the SOFAR.
