The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) intends to expand the deep water offshore stationary platform GMSP 12, installed on the Guneshly field, where the Company produces carbohydrates at expense of own fund, SOCAR told Trend.
Gipromorneftgas Institute is currently working on development of the project. “The project envisages installation of one more foundation on the platform, which will allow drilling around 12 wells here,” SOCAR said.
The shallow water Guneshli field is developed from 1980. It locates in southeast of Absheron Peninsula and gives 65% of total oil production.
