For increasing production on the Azerbaijan’s Bibi-Eybat on-shore oil field the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) started drilling of the new well в"-3868. Its design depth is 1850 meters, SOCAR told Trend. About 800 meters have been drilled here since the start of December. The works are performed by the Absheron Unit of Drilling Works at the order of the Oil and Gas Producing Unit (OGPU) вЂ�Bibi-Eybatneft’.
The unit carries out drilling works on the on-shore field вЂ�Balahani” also, SOCAR noted. The unit completes drilling of the well в"-3970, the design depth of which is 1400 meters.
The works are aimed at stabilization and increase of the oil production volume on the account of new wells. Drilling of at least 8 wells is planned on �Balahani’ field till the year end.
