From January to October 2005 Azerbaijan imported 114,512,2 tons of metallic pipes or 65.7% less as compared 2004 to carry out operations on onshore and offshore fields, the State Statistics Committee told Trend.
The State Statistics Committee said that in this period import of pipes amounted to $131,025,100, or 50.4% less than 2004.
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and foreign companies are engaged in oil and gas operations.
From January to October 2005 55,334,9 tons of pipes fell to import of pipes for oil and gas pipelines or 78.1% less as compared 2004. The State Statistics Committee noted that Azerbaijan purchased 27,349,200 tons drilling pipes or 4.4% less as compared 2004. The total value of the import comprised $42,467,500 or 3.2% less as compared 2004.
