By ENI report Azerbaijan natural gas reserves exceed 1,3 trillion cubic meters

Azerbaijan increased appraisals of natural gas reserves by 52% to 1,37 trillion cubic meters from 1993 to 2005. The Statistical Bulletin by the Italian ENI concern reports, in 1993 appraisals of the natural gas reserves were 900 billion cubic meters, over 12 years, in 2005, this figure was 1,37 trillion cubic meters, according to Trend.

The document indicates, the current appraisals of the fuel reserves have not been revised since 2000.

By the ENI data the oil reserves of Azerbaijan constitute 7 billion barrels. Appraisals of reserves grew by almost 6 times since 1993, when they were 1,2 billion barrels.

The ENI Bulletin points out, in 2005 appraisals of the gas reserves of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan were 2,9 trillion cu m, 1,9 trillion cu m and 1,86 trillion cu m respectively.
