Oil&Gas Materials 6 September 2006 11:55 (UTC +04:00)

The Ukrainian Minister for Fuel & Energy, Yuriy Boyko, stated to a news conference in Kiev that the Odessa-Brody oil pipeline will offer competitive tariffs, Trend Special Correspondent in Ukraine reports.

The tariff system should be flexible and work for the supplier and we are in a position to offer competitive rates to future suppliers, Boyko stressed.

He also added that the Ukraine should hold talks with the companies owning the Caspian resources, to understand their development dynamic, their production and foreign trade balance. The Minister stated that the tariff policy of the Odessa-Brody oil pipeline will be formed in line with the construction of the Burgas-Aleksandropulos pipeline.

As a rule, companies involved in large-scale projects will dictate future tariffs as was the case when establishing the Caspian Pipeline Company, Boyko stated.
