The amount of remittances of individuals transferred from Russia to Uzbekistan through payment systems amounted to $2.9 billion in 2018, Trend reports with reference to the data of the Central Bank of Russia.
The regulator stated that the average transfer amount from Russia to Uzbekistan in the reporting period was $453.
At the same time, funds in the amount of $129.9 million were sent from Uzbekistan to Russia in 2018. The average transfer amount from Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation was $977.
In the fourth quarter, remittances worth $735.6 million were sent from Russia to Uzbekistan (the average transfer amount was $466) and from Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation $31.8 million ($918).
Central Bank of the Russia stressed that the total amount of cross-border transfers of individuals from Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation in 2018 amounted to $4.08 billion.
