Cash of Azerbaijan’s UniBank increases almost 70%

From January through September 2019, the total assets of Azerbaijan’s UniBank increased by 17.7 percent compared to the same period in 2018, Trend reports referring to the bank’s balance sheet Nov. 1.

The bank’s total assets increased by 118.4 million manat ($69.3 million) to 787.7 million manat ($461.6 million).

More than half of all assets (54 percent) account for the net loan portfolio, the volume of which increased by 6.6 percent, up to 425.1 million manat ($249 million).

The volume of cash increased by 69.9 percent, amounting to 135.7 million manat ($79.5 million). Funds due from other banks amounted to 42.9 million manat ($25.1 million), having decreased by more than twice.

In the structure of long-term assets, the value of buildings and equipment of the bank grew by 9.5 percent, amounting to 58.9 million manat ($34.5 million). The bank’s intangible assets amounted to 5.9 million manat ($3.4 million, or an increase of 14.5 percent). Other assets amounted to 20.9 million manat ($12.2 million).

The bank’s total liabilities increased by 13.7 percent to 664.9 million manat ($389.5 million).

In the structure of liabilities, a significant part (79.5 percent) accounted for deposits, the volume of which increased by 28.1 percent. The volume of deposits amounted to 528.7 million manat ($309.7 million). Accounts payable to other banks amounted to 41.5 million manat ($24.3 million), having increased by 6.7 times.

The bank’s total capital for the reporting period amounted to 122.8 million manat ($71.9 million) compared to 84.6 million manat ($49.6 million) in the third quarter of 2018. Capital growth amounted to 45.1 percent.
