Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee (SCC) transferred 361.02 million manat ($212.8 million) to the state budget in November 2019, which is 31.5 percent more than in November 2018, Trend reports referring to data provided by SCC.
In November 2019, customs duties amounted to 89.5 million manat ($52.7 million), or 25 percent of all revenues, VAT - 253.02 million manat ($149.1 million), or 70 percent, excise taxes - 13.53 million manat ($7.9 million), or 4 percent, road tax – 4.9 million manat ($2.9 million), or around 1 percent.
A 23.1-percent increase was observed in revenues from customs duties, along with an increase of 40.3 percent for revenues from VAT in November 2019 compared to November 2018. This is while an 11.2-percent increase in revenues from road tax and 20.6 percent decrease in revenues from excise taxes were observed.
Revenues to the state budget through SCC are formed from customs duties, value added tax (VAT), excise tax and road tax.
