The revenues of the Azerbaijani consolidated budget are estimated at 24.5 billion manat ($14.4 billion) in 2020, which is by 9.4 percent more than the forecast, Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance.
The budget expenditures for 2020 amounted to 29.2 billion manat ($17.2 billion), which is by 2.6 billion manat ($1.5 billion) or 10 percent more than in 2019.
Consequently, the budget deficit equaled 4.7 billion manat ($2.8 billion), which is 40.9 percent less than the projected figure.
The deficit was covered through the loans attracted from abroad worth 800.5 million manat ($470.9 million), proceeds from the placement of securities worth 283.6 million manat ($166.8 million), the balance of the state budget in the Single Treasury Account as of January 1, 2020, and proceeds from privatization worth 61.5 million manat ($36.2 million).
