Baku Stock Exchange shares data on transactions in corporate securities for 8M2021

The total volume of transactions in corporate securities at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) exceeded 274 million manat ($161 million) from January through August 2021, Trend reports citing the BSE report.

During the specified period, 3,069 transactions in corporate securities were concluded on the stock exchange. Of these, 3,043 transactions (99.2 percent) worth 100.4 million manat ($59 million) fell on the secondary market.

“At the same time, 2,786 shares were sold for 6.42 million manat ($3.77 million) and 257 bonds for 94 million manat ($55.3 million). Three transactions in the secondary market involved the sale of mortgage bonds in the amount of 62.9 million manat ($37 million),” the report said.

In the primary market for corporate securities, 26 transactions (0.8 percent) were concluded for 173.5 million manat ($102.5 million), including three shares for 6 million manat and 23 bonds for 167.5 million manat or $98.5 million (including six mortgage - in the amount of 160 million manat or $94 million).

The capitalization of the BSE as of the last trading day in August 2021 amounted to 4.31 billion manat ($2.54 billion), having increased by 11 percent since the beginning of the year.
