BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 14. Iranian banks granted loans worth around 35.1 quadrillion rials (about $835 billion) in various economic sectors in the country during the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2023), Trend reports.
Data from Iran's Central Bank shows the distribution of loans for various sectors of Iran's economy:
- Services sector: about 14.4 quadrillion rials (about $343 billion);
- Industrial and mining sectors: about 12.8 quadrillion rials (about $304 billion);
- Trade sector: 3.49 quadrillion rials (about $83.1 billion);
- Agriculture sector: 2.45 quadrillion rials (about $58.4 billion);
- Housing and construction sectors: 1.97 quadrillion rials (about $47 billion);
- Other areas: 7.97 trillion rials (about $190 million).
The loans are provided for the establishment of enterprises and facilities, such as working capital, repair work, development, the purchase of personal assets, the purchase of apartments, etc.
