Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / Azercell Teleсom JV sponsors the 56th scientific and practical conference which is taking place at the Azerbaijani State Oil Academy (ASOA) and is dedicated to the Day of Constitution
"Such events have a positive effect upon scientific activity of students and enhances exchange of information among them, academic Siyavush Garayev, the principal of ASOA, said speaking at the opening of the conference. He expressed his thanks to sponsors of the conference, particularly Azercell Teleсom, for supporting the future of science. Then the floor was given to the Azerbaijani Education Minister Misir Mardanov, a 2000-graduate of ASOA Fuad Muradov, and other guests.
The purpose of the conference to last three weeks is to inform in details the public of the results of scientific and research work carried out by ASOA students in 2006. Within the framework of the event 20 meetings will be held for this purpose, at which 342 reports will be delivered.
Each report will be assessed by a special commission including five persons. The students who deliver most interesting reports will receive diplomas from the Organization Committee, bonuses from the Student Committee of Trade Union, as well as presents from sponsors. Azercell Teleсom, the general sponsor of the conference, rendered assistance to scientific conferences held at the Azerbaijani State Oil Academy (ASOA) in recent years, as well as to the events dedicated to the National Revival Day and the Day of Republic.
Azercell which established close relations with ASOA is not only taking part in scientific events but also renders direct assistance to development of students. Thus, Azercell provided ASOA with enough computer equipments, speed internet and founded a computer room in the Academy.
The conference will be completed on 7 December.
