Azerbaijan, Baku, 19 February / corr Trend S.Babayeva / The Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has defined the staffing of the Coordunting Council for Internet Development, the Ministry said.
"All candidates for membership into the Council have been nominated which includes representatives from the State sector, public institutions, NGO and the business sector.
The first meeting of the Coordinating Council will be held after confirmation of its staff by the Ministry. The Ministry did not divulge any details on the conduct of the meeting.
Elmir Velizade, the new Azerbaijani Deputy Minister for Communications and Information Technology appointed in December 2007, will head the Coordinating Council.
The Council is responsible for measures to develop the internet in the territory of Azerbaijan, registration, use of domains and providing scientific assistance to companies functioning within this sphere.
