At the forty-first meeting of Regional Commonwealth of Communications Administrations (RCC CAs), participants discussed preparations for the upcoming World Telecommunications Development Conference (WTDC-2010) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the RCC said in a report today.
Delegations of RCC full members (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine) and RCC observers (Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, the Itella Group postal corporation, Intersputnik) attended the meeting, together with ITU representatives, the CIS Executive Committee and European Conference of Post and Telecommunications Administrations.
The RCC is preparing for the conference via thorough discussions of a number of RCC CA proposals. Today, RCC proposals on the agenda are the WTDC-10's structure, regional initiatives, and new draft resolutions to intensify telecommunications development.
The council approved a recommendation to coordinate frequency assignments to stations on ground mobile services and fixed services in frequency bands above 29.7 MHz as part of improving the management processes of the radio frequency spectrum.
This document will allow RCC CAs to conclude bilateral or multilateral agreements on conditions for using radio frequencies on the basis of agreed upon criteria.
