The Turkmen state administration has introduced an e-system to improve informational safety and security.
The move was made following a decree signed by President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov. The Economy Ministry together with the Communications Ministry was tasked with establishing a uniform implementation system for information and communication technologies governance.
The document said measures have been taken to improve governance on the basis of a modern cross-sectoral informational exchange.
The Communications Ministry was also tasked with providing a fiber-optic communications system to the Cabinet of Ministers with sectoral-ministries and departments to realize the project.
The decree also approved a 2010 activities program to implement government information and communications technologies administration.
