Number of Turkmen national mobile operator’s subscribers reaches 2.6 mln

Established in 2004 cellular network Altyn Asyr has entered the GSM Association, where the Tm Cell - a national network of cellular communication of Turkmenistan was registered, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper said on Saturday.

National cellular communication network during this period expanded, covering almost the entire country, and currently provides telecommunications services to more than 2.6 million subscribers.

The article says that a deliberate policy of the State for an intensive integration of the country into the global community contributes to global modernization and development of telecommunications on the basis of the latest digital technology.

Virtually in all settlements of Turkmenistan, including remote and inaccessible areas and along roads and railways, subscribers can use the services of a local mobile operator.

It is also noted that when servicing subscribers of TM Cell Ministry of Communications adheres to a policy of state for social protection of the population by setting affordable tariffs for the use of cellular network services, and thus achieves consistently high quality service.
