Azerbaijan, Baku, 6 May / Trend H.Valiyev /

In September 2013, there will be an official announcement of an alliance to set up the project to build the Trans-Eurasian Information Super Data way (TASIM), Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov told journalists on Monday.

Abbasov said that the work is already being conducted. Azerbaijan is the coordinator of the future Alliance.

New operators will be involved in the construction project, he said.

Currently, the project involves five countries (Azerbaijan, China, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkey), and soon Georgia, Bulgaria and Ukraine are expected to join.

Overall, it is planned to build two main lines within the project, one of which will pass through the Ukraine, the second through Turkey. Both lines will be independent and interchangeable. The operators of these countries will act as a link with major European operators.

The TASIM project is intended to connect a total of 20 countries. Its implementation will eliminate the information gap between Western Europe and the Pacific Rim.
