By Huseyn Valiyev – Trend:

Azerbaijan’s state communications operator Aztelekom LLC is changing its DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) infrastructure to 400G technology, a source in Azerbaijan’s telecommunications market told Trend.

According to the source, certain service areas of the operator have already been switched to 400G level.

“Transition of all main networks of the operator to 400G is in prospect,” the source said.

The transition to 400G will grant corporate and individual customers a wider bandwidth, able to fulfill current and future demand for data transmission.

The innovation will also allow to increase information exchange speed between state structures and ensure sustainable access to e-services offered by Azerbaijan’s e-Government (e-gov.az) portal.
