Nakhchivan’s operator expands roaming services in two more countries

The mobile operator of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan – Naxtel 4G has expanded the roaming service in the networks of operators in Ukraine and Moldova, the company told Trend March 9.

The cost of a minute of a call to Azerbaijan and in the network of other operators in those countries will cost 1.25 Azerbaijani manats. A minute of incoming calls will cost 0.34 manats, and sending an SMS will cost 0.21 manats. One megabyte of internet traffic in roaming will cost 2.39 manats for Naxtel subscribers.

The Nakhchivan operator began to provide roaming services in November 2017. Georgia became the first foreign country, where Naxtel subscribers were able to use the roaming service.

Earlier, Naxtel said that the number of countries, where roaming services will be available, will gradually increase.

Naxtel received a license to provide communication services in the GSM standard (800, 900 and 1800 MHz) in 2015. Earlier, the company provided services of wireless communication in the CDMA standard.

The operator’s network supports the LTE standard. The number of Naxtel base stations totals 98 in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The stations are interconnected by optical lines with a capacity of 1 Gbit/s.

The Nakhchivan operator provides GSM communications services, and also acts as an LCC (Low Cost Carriers) operator.
