In July 2018, the number of phishing attacks in Azerbaijan’s segment of Internet increased by 46.6 percent compared to June, according to Netcraft analytical company's report, posted on the company's website.
According to the report, one phishing attack productive for scammers accounted for 283 sites in the .az domain in Azerbaijan, which accounts for 0.9 percent of all number of online resources registered in the .az domain.
More than 30,890 sites have been registered in the "az" domain zone as of August 8.
The analysis is based on the Netcraft Toolbar program, which is a plug-in for browsers. The program notifies users of a potentially dangerous Internet resources and prevention of a phishing attack.
According to Netcraft, one phishing attack accounted for 276 sites in Italy, 264 sites – in UAE, 235 sites – in Armenia, 128 sites – in Hong Kong, etc.
