By Huseyn Veliyev - Trend:

Azercell LLC, a mobile operator of Azerbaijan, is preparing for rebranding, the company told Trend on Sept. 7.

The operator still has its former investors' logo, however, a full rebranding is expected soon.

"The new concept, on which the company is currently working together with its new promoters, will reflect the current trends in mobile technologies, the experience of the company itself, and Azerbaijani traditions much better," the company said.

Fintur Holdings B.V., owned jointly by Telia and Turkcell, agreed to sell its 51.3 percent stake in Azertel - the only shareholder of Azercell - to the state-owned Azintelecom.

In the construction of its new strategy, the company is guided by such goals as the expansion of the broadband internet network and the digitization of various economic and social processes. Priority tasks are to ensure ubiquitous access to the internet, expand 4G coverage, introduce convenient and profitable tariffs and new services.

Azercell also plans to improve and modernize the customer care system and introduce innovative solutions in B2B services for corporate clients.
