Some 300 new MilliON payment terminals will be installed in Azerbaijan by the end of August, Ulviyya Afandiyeva, head of MilliON company's customer care department, told Trend.
According to Afandiyeva, to date, 70 percent of the work within the installation of new terminals has been completed, and 30 percent is planned to be completed by the end of the month.
The new terminals are being installed in large supermarkets and hypermarkets, as well as in all shopping malls.
"The main goal of the MilliON network is to provide the population with a platform for instant, convenient, and high-quality payment services in the local market," the company’s representative said.
"Preparations are underway to install MilliON terminals in the territories [liberated from Armenian occupation in the 2020 Karabakh war]. Besides, a project is underway to increase the number of payment terminals in all regions and cities of Azerbaijan," added Afandiyeva.
More than 150 companies operate in the MilliON network and over 500 types of services are provided.
Million payment terminals have been installed in Baku since March 2009.
