Azerbaijan to Participate at World Communications Union Conference

Azerbaijan will participate at the Administrative Council (AC) of the World Communications Union (WCU) Conference. Azerbaijan will be represented by the Chief Consultant of the Post Sector of the Department for Co-ordination of the Activities of the State Enterprises of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies Hasir Hamidov, Trend reports with reference to the same Ministry.

The meeting will be held from 9 - 20 October in Bern, Switzerland.

Beginning from 9 October, meetings of various working groups of the WCU will be held, and on October 19-20, a plenary meeting of the Administrative Council will be conducted. The event will focus on the universal post services in WCU AC member-countries, finance issues, different types of post services, in particular EMS, as well as other topics.

In addition, a seminar dedicated to the methodology of financial calculations for postal deliveries will be held within the meetings.

The Conference is held annually in Bern in the headquarter of WCU with the participation of its 41 members.
