It is also worth noting that the 4th meeting of the Ministers of Tourism of the Turkic Council member states (Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey) was held on August 8 this year, where the parties discussed the main issues of preparing the launch and commercial implementation of the Turkic Council Modern Silk Road joint tour package project.

"The proposed mechanism will allow overcoming obstacles to the transnational tourism product (visa, customs and border barriers when tourists cross the borders of neighboring countries), as well as opening new air routes between the cities of the countries," the committee noted.

Moreover, on October 31 Astana hosted the 15th meeting of the Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, where various aspects of deepening cooperation in tourism, including the development of cruise tourism in the Caspian Sea, were considered.
