Until the end of this year, the number of Indian tourists visiting Azerbaijan may reach 65,000, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board Florian Sengstschmid said.
He was speaking at a press conference organized as part of a tour in New Delhi, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency Sept. 10.
The conference was attended by more than 150 tour operators and travel agencies operating in the city of New Delhi.
Indian organizations specializing in various tourist destinations held meetings with 15 tourism companies of Azerbaijan in the B2B (business-to-business) format and held discussions regarding the prospects for cooperation.
Following the conference in New Delhi, the Board will also hold a series of presentations in Bangalore and Mumbai.
On Sept. 9 in the city of New Delhi, the Azerbaijan Tourism Board launched a series of events to be held in major cities of India.
